TinyVoca — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 September 2026

TinyVoca is made for beginners of all ages learning new vocabulary. It is built so that there is nothing to collect: the app works entirely on your device and has no account, no server and no analytics.

What we collect

Nothing.

TinyVoca does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no sign-up, no login and no user profile.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following locally, and only locally:

This data never leaves the device. It is removed when you tap Reset progress in Settings & Stats, or when you delete the app.

Microphone

The Repeat After Me activity is off by default. You can switch it on in Settings & Stats, and iOS then asks for microphone permission separately.

When it is on, your recording is held in temporary storage on the device so it can be played straight back, and is replaced on the next word. Recordings are never uploaded, never sent to any server, and no speech recognition is performed on them — nothing is scored or transcribed.

Pronunciation

Words are spoken using the text-to-speech voices already installed in iOS. No audio is downloaded and no text is sent anywhere.

Third parties

TinyVoca contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no third-party tracking SDKs. No personal data is shared with anyone.

The only external service the app can contact is Apple's App Store, and only when you choose to make or restore the one-time purchase. That transaction is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

Privacy & safety

TinyVoca complies with global privacy standards, including COPPA and the GDPR by not collecting personal data at all. There is no behavioural advertising and no tracking of any kind.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published here and the date above updated.
